What is YOW?
YOW is the native utility token of Yowie Finance. It plays a critical role in the Yowie Finance ecosystem.
What can you do with YOW?
Governance
When it comes to important decisions, YOW is the community’s voting power. Farm emissions, new protocol partnerships, and which farms are active are all decided by community vote.
You can also access voting from the Yowie Finance app (menu → Vote).
Voting weight examples
- 1 YOW in single stake or in your wallet = 3 vote points
- 1 YOW in liquidity pairs = 5 vote points

Buyback and Partner Pool Staking
You can stake your YOW in the buyback YOW (xYOW) pool to automatically earn more YOW and partner tokens.
Flywheel overview
- Buy/farm YOW
- Stake YOW in the xYOW pool → receive xYOW as your receipt
- Stake xYOW in partner pools to earn partner tokens
- Provide LP in partner farms to earn more YOW
- Repeat
A portion of all trade fees on Yowie Finance is used to buy YOW, which is then distributed to YOW stakers in the single-stake pool. Your staking receipt is xYOW; you can stake xYOW in partner pools to earn additional tokens.
Using YOW as Collateral
Other protocols may accept YOW as collateral or integrate it in various ways. Consult those protocols’ docs for specifics.
